The primary theme for the kitchen is 'squares,' which are used in the accent 'windows' in the very top cabinets [1]

This design carries the flow of light and dark wood to its ultimate with natural maple upper cabinets and chocolate-finished cherry lower cabinets and the mix of natural and dark woods in the counter stools. The appliances blend into the cabinetry by being covered in the same wood panels as their surrounding cabinets. A small strip of orange cherry wood bands the top and bottom edges of the upper cabinets, and the seats of the counter stools are upholstered in a deep red-orange ultrasuede [8]
